It’s evident that both Catelynn and Tyler have suffered so much angst from their rocky relationships with their father figure and have tried pleading, demanding, and even threatening in desperate attempts to curb Butch’s taste for illicit behavior. However, it’s to no avail and we’re left to wonder if this will be the final straw for the young couple who is trying desperately to remain afloat amid the choppy seas of their familial situations.

Nonetheless viewers watched the ruffled and seemingly remorseful dad deliver yet another heartfelt apology in a one-on-one conversation with his son. Tearfully, he thanked his son for always standing by his side and never deserting him, in spite of his deplorable behavior and constant neglect of Tyler’s feelings.

He even highlights that his son’s encouragement and unwavering support is the only thing that keeps him going, especially during his darkest times battling addiction.
