There are some Teen Mom couples that no one ever has doubts about. Even though it may have taken some of the cast a while to find “the one,” eventually most of them settled down. We even got to see a record amount of weddings this season! But there’s one pair that has always defied the norm when it comes to dating: Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra.
Catelynn and Tyler have been together since day one. Unlike any of her co-stars, Catelynn is still with the same man she was dating during 16 and Pregnant! After having a child and getting married, it seemed like nothing could possibly come between. Except, maybe, for another woman.
There have been many rumors about Tyler’s infidelity stirring around the Teen Mom fanbase for years, but now he’s addressing them head on.

Catelynn Lowell is opening an entirely new chapter of her life after returning from the treatment center she attended for her depression. It seems that things are looking up for her, and she’s able to find healing from the heartbreaking miscarriage she experienced this season.
Even though Tyler Baltierra also suffered the loss of his child and played a huge role in helping Catelynn heal, he’s still under scrutiny from many Teen Mom fans. Although there have been rumors of his unfaithfulness to Catelynn for years, they all came to a head when he was caught getting cozy with another woman.

Since then, fans have held Tyler at arm’s length, and many think he may be guilty of stepping out on his wife. Now, he’s addressing the rumors head-on, but it’s not making him look very good.
“I wonder how many times [Tyler] has cheated on [Catelynn],” wrote one viewer on Twitter. Tyler could have ignored it, but instead he retweeted the tweet, adding, “More times than I could count,” with a laughing emoji.

It’s safe to assume that Tyler is making a joke here. If he was going to admit to cheating, it’s not very likely that he would do it in a retweet. But it got some fans thinking that his constant denials are part of overcompensating to cover up what’s really happening in his marriage.
“Sometimes a lot of truth is said in jest,” pointed out reddit user emilyj07. “That’s a really awful joke. Even though it’s intended as sarcasm I don’t think it’s a good form of sarcasm. Like it just seems awkward,” wrote babsonatricycle.
Many of the fans were concerned about the toll these “jokes” could be taking on Catelynn. “Why would he even respond? This is going to cause a bunch of tweets and speculations that will set Cate off,” wrote spookyookydoo. User PinoyPrincess7 wrote, “I wouldn’t really be happy if my boyfriend said something like that. i feel like it’s a little disrespectful and it’s also the kinda joke that people could put more thought into than needed you know? People might start thinking ‘maybe he’s not even kidding and has cheated on her many times’. It could just cause unnecessary drama.”
