The horrible relationship is out!
We all know that Teen Mom can be a great example about just how toxic and chaotic romantic relationships can be. From rocky relationships to abandonment to cheating and lies to accidental pregnancies, sometimes Teen Mom shows examples of the worst of the worst in relationships.
However, it now seems that one of the worst relationships the show has ever seen was taking place for years under our nose. One couple was experiencing cheating, lies, and even drug addiction for years, all without revealing it to the cameras. Now, the truth is coming out.

Rocky Relationship

If one’s childhood experiences truly shapes adult life, it’s no wonder that so many of the Teen Mom cast members are struggling. A great example of this is Farrah Abraham, whose upbringing involved her parents’ rocky relationship, allegations of abuse, and even physical assault. Now, it’s becoming clear just how bad things were between Farrah’s parents Michael and Debra were while she was growing up.
Debra Danielsen has recently re-released a memoir called Vapor, which focuses on her being catfished and swindled out of $250,000 over her span of several years (which is another story for another day)! However, her memoir also reveals the gripping details of her hellish relationship with her husband. Apparently, drugs played a huge role in their split.
“The big problem in our relationship was that Michael felt disconnected from me because I refused to take illegal drugs that he enjoyed taking,” Debra writes. On top of that, Michael seemed to be stepping out on her. “I demanded fidelity in our relationship. Michael could no longer deal with either one of these positions, which I hold dear to my heart.”
Despite these horrible experiences, Michael tried to make things right.
“Michael told me he was sorry for his affairs. He asked for my forgiveness and begged me to reconsider, but I told him I just couldn’t do that anymore,” she reveals in the book. “He has been involved in countless affairs and it wasn’t going to work out.”
Sabotage

According to Debra, Michael was “jealous” of her accomplishments and that he tried to “sabotage” her on numerous occasions throughout their marriage. Then, he revealed he would be leaving her.
“While I had been out of the country, he had moved nearly all of his stuff out of the house. I was devastated,” Debra recalls.
On top of this, Michael was apparently extremely critical of Debra’s physical appearance. “I worked out every day for over fifteen years,” Debra reveals. “I watched every bite I ate and made sure nothing went into my body that wasn’t healthy. I was actually ten pounds underweight, but Michael told me he liked me that way. Whenever I would put on a pound or two, he would make a comment.”
Michael has previously confirmed to Radar Online that he did indeed abuse drugs in his past. “Everyone has experimented with drugs,” he said. “None of it was when I was married to Debra. Everyone has pasts, including Debra.” He also admitted to cheating, but said it was not as often as Debra implied.
As for the comments on her weight, Michael has denied these entirely. “I’m a very intelligent man. You never talk about a woman’s age or weight,” he said. “Debra is a beautiful woman.”
