Was it happening all along?
Amber Portwood has had as destructive and disturbing of a past as any of her Teen Mom OG co-stars. She spent a length of time in prison after facing domestic abuse and drug charges, and has struggled with mental illness and substance abuse. However, it seems that there’s one more upsetting part of Amber’s history that many fans may not have known.
Recently, fans have started to suspect that Amber may have been a victim of domestic violence. This comes as a result of what Amber seems to have let slip during filming for a new reality show. Now, another cast member is stepping forward to claim that this abuse has been an open secret among the cast for some time.

Although much of Amber Portwood’s life has been publicized on Teen Mom OG, she decided to branch out into another avenue of reality TV. Her time on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars Family Edition was even more pivotal than she may have expected, since it’s where she met her now-baby daddy Andrew Glennon! Although the show has yet to air, one clip tipped fans off to a haunting admission by Amber.
Serious Accusations

“You’re a piece of s**t,” Amber screamed at her then-fiancé in this sneak peek. Matt Baier replies simply, “Really?” and that’s when Amber reveals the bombshell of their relationship. “Why do you think I’m so angry?” she screams. “Because you hit me!”
It wasn’t long before this potentially huge admission circulated on Twitter by her co-stars themselves. Farrah Abraham’s father Michael tweeted the clip, writing, “[Holy] S**t Crazy!”
Then, someone else close to Farrah shared that they suspected this abuse had been ongoing. None other than Simon Saran ― who is perhaps the biggest inside source for Teen Mom rumors ― added his two cents.
“At least she finally admitted it and left that scumbag,” Simon added on to Michael’s tweet. “I tried getting the word out about the a** beatings awhile back. Matt would have probably done something way worse to her later down the road.” He signed off with a callous, “Anywho I’m hungry!”

Simon insinuates that the abuse was something of an open secret among the cast members. At the same time, Amber was very open about non-physical abuses that Matt perpetuated against her. According to her, he stole massive amounts of money from her.
“He told me that we could separate our bank accounts if it makes me feel good,” she revealed earlier on in this season of Teen Mom OG. “Within the last three years we’ve been together, tallying everything up, it’s been $120,000 that I have no clue where it’s went. We’re not engaged and I feel like he’s a pathological liar.”
She went on, “I just realized he’s sending his daughter money that’s not even his money!”
