“They don’t care about sh*t but money,” Amber wrote on Facebook. “[Catelynn Lowell] and Tyler are F*cktards wanna be Kanye West and a Kardashian [which] cate is far from she can’t even take a natural surgery.”
Amber went on, “Dumb b*tch. F*ck brother. F*ck them. They’re so fake. Sorry you witnessed what you [assumed] imagined they would be.. [they’re] NOTHING like normal.”
Fans weren’t sure what set Amber off, but many of them theorized that it was a money problem. “My guess is he wouldn’t help Billy and/or her for debt they got into because of drugs,” wrote reddit user TartofDarkness. They theorized, “You can tell he doesn’t like his sister. She doesn’t take care of her kids. I think something about how she treats her kids reminds him of his childhood and he can’t really stand to be around her.”
User Lalablacksheep646 wrote, “I’m guessing she wanted to borrow money and Tyler said no..or bail that jack a** Billy out.” Fans also pointed out that Amber is still living in Tyler’s old house according to the most recent episode, meaning that he’s already given her quite a bit!
“They don’t care about sh*t but money,” wrote debstrashclaw, “but sent your dad to a rehab that costs tens of thousands of dollars, let you live in their old home and I’m sure much more… No one really deserves their family treating them this way after they’ve done so much for them.”

Luckily, Amber opened up about getting support from her two children. “These two,” she wrote on a picture of her son and daughter. “They are my rock. My motivation. My inspiration. The reason I breathe and wake up everyday. Mommy loves you to more than you guys may know right now.. You both deserve nothing but the best and I will give that to you. I’m gonna miss you these 90 days. I know dad and everyone else will keep you busy this summer. Just know I love you both with every fiber in me. When mom gets home she’s gonna be the best woman I can be and a even better mom. I’ll pray for your comfort and happiness everyday I’m not with you.. Show the world your my babies and you guys are strong and can get through anything.. Because well, you got Baltierra blood and it don’t get stronger than that.”
Of course, fans aren’t entirely sure whether Amber is getting treatment just for depression. Many believe that Amber may have a serious addiction to drugs.

“So, on tonight’s Teen Mom OG ‘Unconfuse Your Brain’, were Tyler, Butch, and Catelynn implying that Ty’s sister Amber is doing drugs?!” wrote reddit user whythehellnotbitches.
They weren’t the only one who found Amber’s behavior alarming. “I didn’t notice them implying that. What I did notice was that Amber is on drugs,” wrote user i_want_your_skulls.
User candleandmeatloaf also seemed completely convinced that this was the case. “You could tell that Tyler was so uncomfortable being in that house,” they wrote. “He was a different person, seeming to dodge the cameras and even speak lower, trying to hurry away and taking deep calming breaths. It was hard to watch, tbh, especially because you could tell that the sister and Butch were both high.”
Now that Amber is going to rehab, fans are wondering if she could also be going for an addiction. User JustCuriousInCanada broke down their theory:
“Amber didn’t outright say ‘I’m going to treatment for depression’… She said that her depression has taken over her life (as part of her explaining the events that lead up to her deciding to go to rehab).Then, someone replied to her post with a comment about their own experience with depression…and Amber just agreed and said thanks.”
They added, “It’s pretty obvious she’s going to rehab for an addiction and she’s probably battling depression and other things as well. The point is – Amber probably feels embarrassment and guilt in regards to whatever substance addiction she has, so she just kept her Facebook post vague. She’s definitely not going to some 6 week ‘spa’ for depression. 90 days in Texas sounds like drug rehab to me.” User llthedramastics even theorized, “Tyler is sending her to the Texas facility. Same place he sent Butch? Cate went to Arizona.” But some were focused on the fact that Billy is out of her life.
“I’m just glad that pedophile isn’t around her daughter anymore,” wrote user makethenoisestop. “I hope she can pull it together for her children.” They clarified that they were referring to “videos of Billy slapping a little girls butt more than once and both of them making inappropriate comments.”
