“Jade’s story is just really sad,” a source told The Ashley. “There were some super-tense moments, especially concerning her ex-boyfriend that were very scary.”
Other girls are still filming for Teen Mom 2, but Jade’s filming has already wrapped. The crew was excited that Jade’s story provided plenty of content.
“There was so much to film!” they told the outlet. “We have so much footage we don’t need any more for this season. It was so easy to get, not having to deal with cancelled shoots and drama queen tantrums!”
Jade recently opened up about her mother and step father’s struggle with addiction. On part three of the show’s reunion, she revealed that both of her parents had been arrested.
Her storyline on the new season will focus on her parents being in jail. “In my new season, both of my parents were just incarcerated,” she revealed. “They’re been strung out for so long, they’re like binge addicts, where they’ll binge and then they’ll be okay.”
“It hurts because I’ve grown up and I haven’t had my mom there,” Jade said. “My heart was hurting because my real dad committed suicide when I was 6 months old.”
In regards to her parents addiction, Jade said that she feels “like my real dad never loved me enough to stay and now I feel like, even when I have a second chance at a father, I feel like he never loved me enough to stay clean.”
Tyler Baltierra gave Jade some advice, since he has been through similar situations. “One thing that me and Cate have learned is that boundaries are the most important thing,” he told her. “We have to force them.”
Jade’s parents were arrested when police officers were called to inspect a possible overdose inside their vehicle. The police officer then found marijuana and other drug paraphernalia, including a metal pipe. The officers also found a crystal substance that was suspected to be meth, as well as suboxone pills.
