... And More Criminal Charges!
It’s impossible to ignore the fact that Amber Portwood has had her fair share of run-ins with illicit substances. She began abusing prescription medication at a young age, which eventually spiraled into a full blown addiction. Things hit a low point when Amber was arrested on drug and domestic violence related charges a few years ago, shutting down Teen Mom OG production while she was on the inside.
That may be why she hit it off so quickly with her ex-fiancé Matt Baier. Matt told Amber that he had struggled with substance addiction as well in his past (although some fans suspect that was just a ploy to get into her good graces). Now, it looks like illicit substances are rearing their ugly head in their lives once again, and even resulting in arrest.

Matt Baier has been open about his past addiction and current sobriety since his first appearance as Amber’s boyfriend on Teen Mom OG. However, he recently admitted that he had fallen back into addiction, telling Amber that he had recently “relapsed hard.”
Amber and Matt have both had a lot of changes in their lives recently. Namely, they’re not together anymore!
Amber shocked all of her fans when she confirmed rumors that she’s pregnant with her new boyfriend, Andrew Glennon. Nothing quite says “moving on” like having a baby with someone else. That said, Matt may still have her topped in that department, considering he recently married a Las Vegas waitress.
Now it’s starting to look like Matt’s new wife has her fair share of baggage. It has recently become clear that she has some substance abuse problems of her own, and she’s even facing jail time for them.
Matt’s new wife, Jennifer Conlon, was arrested for driving under the influence and drug possession charges soon before her wedding to Matt. According to Radar Online, she was arrested for “DUI drugs chemicals organic solvent, no driver’s license in possession and red traffic signal position/method.”

Jennifer then told police officers that she didn’t want a DUI right before the holidays. She then offered to park the car and walk home. One of the officers wrote, “A witness thought he smelled alcohol.”
Jennifer went on to plead not guilty to all three counts. She’ll have to appear in court in April to plead her case. Some fans think that this could have even more sinister implications about Matt.
“Ugh to me this shows he targeted her even more knowing she has a substance abuse problem,” wrote Reddit user weareallmemes. “Because her arrest was November 7 and they got married on the 27th… Sorry but if my partner just got it DUI/DWI I would reschedule my wedding until they got their sh*t sorted out, not elope two weeks later. Gross.”
User trapbabyz4dayz jabbed, “And I was worried that they wouldn’t be right for each other.”
Considering that Amber has recently accused Matt of robbing her of $120,000, fans have plenty of reasons to dislike him.
In the meantime, things seem to be looking up for Amber Portwood. She’s recently revealed the gender of her baby, and fans are thrilled for her!
