Twitter user @JAZZYL0912 empathized with Bar’s situation and wrote, “I feel like Ashley is the type that if Bar left her she’d deny him seeing his child.” However, other fans have accused Bar of sticking around for the wrong reasons.
User @kenyyyaa_ tweeted, “Bar just p*ssed me all the way to off. Ain’t nobody in this world that would ever come between me and my mom. Ashley must got some magical fairy dust between are legs cause she got him whipped.” Many fans seem unable to pick a side in their drama. Some viewers are simply concerned about the children involved.
Reddit user nyrihunter wrote, “I don’t feel Ashley should have to respect Shen. Especially since Shen isn’t trying to show her any sort of respect. And Shen seems to have a very unhealthy relationship with her sons and seems to have a deep hatred towards any woman her sons bring home…”

Her post continued, “Yes it’s nice to have a great relationship with a parent, but it’s also unhealthy for the parent to expect to be the #1 to the point of obsession. Just because her sons decide to find a woman they want to be with doesn’t mean she gets erased as a mother. She needs to learn the difference of the joy of parental love and the need for her sons to have a healthy, romantic relationship with someone else. If Bar really cares for Ashley and his child, he needs to have a serious sit down with his mom and draw the line.”
A serious sit down with Shen will be difficult. She recently went off on her son and his girlfriend on Twitter in a lengthy rant.
