As Teen Mom fans know, Catelynn Lowell has experienced her fair share of hardship and tragedy during her time on the show. Like the other stars, her story has been shared for millions of viewers, and fans always show support when difficulty strikes.
This time, Catelynn will certainly need support from her fans. She’s recently opened up about a devastating death in her family.

“It was very traumatic,” Tyler recalled while cameras rolled on Teen Mom OG. It was clear that he was extremely shaken by this update as well. “You see her shaking and she got blood everywhere, you don’t know what to do.”
After Catelynn stopped losing blood, it became clear what had happened. “She kind of cleaned herself up and we figured what was going on.” Then, the couple shut down. “We sat in the bed and cried. Just held each other. There’s nothing you can really do.”
Not long after, Catelynn revealed that she was suffering from suicidal thoughts. Tyler revealed that it was taking a huge toll on him as well. “I really wanted that baby,” he said through tears. “Life’s just not giving me a break right now.”
Catelynn soon shared that she was seeking treatment for her suicidal thoughts.
“Well today I thought of every way to kill myself .. so I’m going to treatment,” she tweeted on Nov. 17.
She gave more details to Radar, saying, “I’m taking the time I need right now to take good care of myself. On November 17th I thought of every way possible to commit suicide, from wrapping a belt around my neck to just running my car into an electric pole.”
Despite her difficulties, Catelynn is maintaining a positive attitude. “I’m seeking treatment and I WILL get better,” she said. “This won’t last forever.”
Tyler took to Twitter to show his support for his wife. He wrote, “Incredibly proud of my wife…when she thought she had no choices left, she reached out & decided to LIVE today! My life would be desolate without her in it. You are beautiful, strong, worthy, & loved.”

As for Tyler, he also shared that he has a history of struggling with suicidal thoughts and even attempting suicide.
Tyler revealed some of his darkest thoughts — in the form of expressive poetry.
“I know it’s getting deep out here, but hang in there, it keeps going & there’s more from my heart that I gotta pour,” begins one of his recent poems.
“Now imagine a little boy almost 12 years old with an angry core & he’s already smoking & trying to find a way to not have his mind collapse on the floor. He goes to school, no he’s not a fool, his grades are good, but he’s more comfortable with his attitude & uses his anger as his tool to get through.”
He reveals what happened during his adolescence, writing, “He enjoys arguing, has an authority problem, loves watching these teachers get worked up hatin cause they think that boredom is really the problem like it’s so common, he gets suspended but no, that boy ain’t stoppin.”
Tyler’s relationship with his father Butch has always been a point of great happiness and sadness throughout his life, and his poem touches on this as well. “It doesn’t bother him that bad cause he knows this week he’s gonna see his Dad. But ya see, later on that week, he gets a call from his Dad that makes his knees become weak.”
“‘Sorry Son, your Dad f*cked up again, I have to go back to living in prison ya see, this is hard on me,’” Tyler’s poem continues. “Are you f*cking kidding me, this is hard for me man, don’t you see! His face cringes with pain & he collects his tears as his ears hear the collect call disappear.”
Tyler reveals that this incident is what triggered his suicidal thoughts: “He sits in the middle of the kitchen, tears are falling to the floor as he rests his head on the cabinet door & asks what is this life even worth living for?”
