To no surprise, fans aren’t very impressed by this update. “Oh FFS Jenelle never made a peep about her supposed undying commitment to guns until she met David. I mean, protect your family from who? People with a couple dozen mugshots? Oh, right, gay people, A.K.A. dogs with fleas 🙄” wrote reddit user justoneofmattskids, referring to the way David insulted members of the LGBTQ community.
“That’s all fine and dandy, but why does she need to announce it to the world? She knows people are gonna rip her to shreds, and then she’ll cry about how people are sooooo mean to her,” wrote user liam_mcpoyle.
User batman_2014 even pointed out, “Does she want mtv to fire her? This is something she could have done privately which much less hubbub. But that’s not how she works, though.”
