No matter who producers choose to join the cast, the teen moms long ago expressed their hesitation to welcome a replacement onto the show.
Catelynn said on Kailyn Lowry’s podcast Coffee Convos, “They can’t [bring in another girl to our show] because we’re the OG’s, the original girls. If you do that, it won’t be the original girls anymore.”
According to Radar Online, a source said Amber is “pissed off about the new cast member” and doesn’t “like the idea of someone who is a total newbie and has never even been on the show before coming on permanently.”
Reddit user Baahberry agreed, writing “Nooooo, MTV. I don’t think they ‘get’ it. I can only speak for myself, but I only watch TM and TM2 because I already ‘know’ these girls and am invested in what happens to them. “
