Whenever (if-ever) you sorted it out for yourself, it was probably downright shocking (I know it was for me): Tyler Baltierra’s dad and Catelynn Lowell’s mom were married for a while.
Yep, that means that Teen Mom OG‘s most stable couple spent some of their romance as step-siblings, in addition to being a high school sweethearts.

Butch and April met through their children and began dating after the kids did. They got married for a time, but after allegations of domestic abuse against Butch, they split. As of 2012, they were back together and the charges were dropped, but they split again, and April is remarried to another man.
Tyler’s Troubled Past

The Butch/April marriage wasn’t the only shocking reveal from the Baltierra’s past. We recently discovered that Tyler’s childhood was rougher than most of us thought. In a heartfelt conversation with his father, Tyler revealed that he attempted suicide at age 12, due in part to the fact that Butch wasn’t around.
This was, of course, both shocking and tragic, since Catelynn spent most of last season struggling through postpartum depression with Tyler as her rock. It was devastating to hear that Tyler has dealt with similar mental health troubles over the years.
