Farrah and Debra Come to Blows

During their first appearance on MTV in 16 and Pregnant‘s first season, Debra Danielsen and Farrah Abraham showed that their relationship was volatile. I mean, Debra was seen slapping her daughter on-screen back then. It was not good.
While the next bit didn’t appear on-screen, the aftermath of the incident did, and, boy, was it crazy.
Farrah Gets Debra Arrested

In 2010, it was reported by local news in Iowa that there had been a domestic disturbance in Debra and Farrah’s home, and that Debra had been arrested for getting physically violent with her daughter while Sophia (then a toddler) was in the room.
According to Farrah (and the police reports), Debra grabbed her by the throat and struck her in the face before Farrah was able to get away and call the authorities.

Later, Farrah confirmed that she suffered physical abuse in her childhood at the hands of her parents, but fans were left shocked when it came out that the abuse had escalated to legal trouble — especially since we had no idea that there had been a longstanding and fairly severe history of abuse in the household at the time of this particular incident.
