As with most things on social media, this tweet has been getting a lot of attention from fans. Some of them were skeptical that this even happened. Reddit user greenholly wrote, “Somehow I seriously doubt this actually happened.” User justoneofmattskids wrote, “Uhhh Gannon is whiter than Farrah’s rug, though.”
That said, some fans were quick to jump to her side. One fan, theglossiernerd accurately pointed out, “I can empathize both sides of this and kind of see it as her and the person who replied being on the same side. If some child made fun of her kid for having “brown” skin when he is just suntanned, imagine what that child will say to a kid who isn’t white? Like her heart is breaking because clearly whoever made fun of her kid will also do it to others. The child who made fun of her son is clearly being raised in a racist household, which is actually really sad.”
