Mackenzie claimed that she knew nothing about Ryan’s drug use, despite spending most of her time with him; she felt that Maci’s lack of help was killing him. Mackenzie accused Maci, saying, “You let everyone know that you feared for his life, while concurrently exploiting Ryan and his addiction on the show. You preach about hating complacency and enabling. But, because you turned your head to the problem, that makes you the enabler, not everyone else that it’s blamed on.”
Maci refused to believe anything that Mackenzie was saying. She believed that if anyone should have helped Ryan, it was Mackenzie and his parents. She said, “I didn’t exploit you, your husband did.”
Humiliation

Mackenzie said, “Instead of solving the problem, or making an effort to solve it, you decided to humiliate Ryan, humiliate myself and his entire family, but more importantly, you’ve humiliated our children for years to come.”
