When Mackenzie Standifer first joined the cast of Teen Mom, fans had no reason to disapprove of her. She was polite and soft-spoken and seemed to be a good match for Maci Bookout’s ex, Ryan. In fact, even Maci was happy about the match. After they met for the first time, Maci revealed that she was happy that Ryan had found a girl like Mack. Well, that sure didn’t last long.
Mackenzie quickly became a controversial figure in the Teen Mom-verse for numerous reasons, but many of them came back to a specific letter. During a Teen Mom OG reunion, Mackenzie read a letter she had written in advance. In short, the letter accused Maci of exploiting Ryan’s drug addiction for MTV. Of course, Maci says that couldn’t be further from the truth.
Needless to say, Mrs. Edwards lost a lot of fans after that. Now it seems this experience is being flipped on its head as Mackenzie is the one being accused of exploiting her experiences for TV. Instead of Ryan though, she’s allegedly exploiting her own son, Hudson, and she could even be facing serious legal action as a result.

Considering that Mackenzie Standifer is only in her early 20’s, it’s easy to forget that she’s had some huge life events before she even appeared on the show. Ryan is actually Mackenzie’s second husband as she was previously married to her first baby daddy Zach Stephens. Like her co-stars, Mackenzie was once a teen mom and — much like the rest of the cast — she often finds herself in hot water when it comes to custody.
Now, the custody concerns are being raised alongside some serious accusations about Mackenzie’s parenting. According to a friend of Mack’s baby daddy Zach, her toddler Hudson isn’t even allowed on the show.

“He’s not supposed to be on the show,” a source close to Mackenzie’s baby daddy Zach Stephens told Radar Online. “She exploits her son for a paycheck,” they said.
Apparently, Hudson doesn’t enjoy being filmed. The source told Radar that Hudson “can’t stand being there.”
According to Mack, all of this is “false.” She said that Hudson “hasn’t even made a dime so clearly he’s not on there for a paycheck.”

Either way, things aren’t looking good for Mack, as she may be at risk of losing custody of her son.
“[Zach] wants to take Hudson from [Mackenzie],” a source told Radar. According to this source, Mackenzie herself isn’t doing much heavy lifting when it comes to raising her son. “She never has Hudson,” they revealed. “It’s her mom, Ryan’s mom Jen or Zach watching him. Zach doesn’t feel with her is where Hudson needs to be.”
