Javi has become known for diving headfirst into serious relationships. After he started dating Kailyn, they moved in together after only a few short months and an engagement followed after only a year of dating. In an infamous Teen Mom 2 moment, Kailyn and Javi inked infinity signs on their bodies to symbolize their “eternal” romance.
Kailyn already had two sons from previous relationships before she gave birth to Lincoln, her son with Javi. The stress eventually became too much for the young couple and they divorced while Javi was serving overseas in the U.S. Air Force.
After he and Kailyn made the decision to end their relationship, Javi seemed desperate to fill the hole in his heart. He was publically linked to different women, including Real World star Madison Walls, and even submitted an audition tape for MTV’s Are You the One? .

During their brief long-distance romance, the couple got matching tattoos of king and queen chess pieces. At the tattoo parlor, Javi told Briana, “Sorry, we can’t break up. You’re stuck with me forever in some way.”
Javi was truly ready to settle down with Briana. As Teen Mom Talk Now previously reported, MTV aired footage of Javi showing off an engagement ring that he bought.
