It got ugly!
Unlike many drama-packed reality shows, the Teen Mom stars are all spread across the country. That means they don’t get a lot of on-screen interaction with one another throughout the season. After all, they normally have more than enough drama to deal with on their own!
But in recent seasons, more and more tension has been arising among the cast members. Even though many of them were extremely close when the show first began airing, not many of their friendships have stood the test of time. In fact, many of the cast members have become full-on enemies.
Since they don’t see each other much in person, it means when they do get together, a lot of pent-up emotion is bound to come out. No wonder the reunions often get so ugly so quickly.
Despite the iconic scene of Amber Portwood taking a swing at Farrah Abraham during a Teen Mom OG reunion, it looks like the upcoming Teen Mom 2 reunion may be giving that moment a run for its money. It appears that some of the cast members couldn’t keep them hands to themselves, and the feud between Kailyn Lowry and Briana DeJesus got violent.

It’s no secret that Kailyn Lowry and Briana DeJesus do not like one another. Even though they’ve only been on the same show for one season, it seems like they have enough fuel to hate each other for the rest of their lives. Ironically, the relationship that they first started fighting over — Briana dating Kailyn’s ex husband Javi Marroquin — has long since ended.
For Briana, the breakup all came down to having conflicting views of the future.
“Javi and I are not together anymore,” she revealed to Blasting News. “Our future just doesn’t line up. He doesn’t want me to get my surgery for a breast lift, lipo, and tummy tuck (which I’m doing in two weeks) because it’ll look bad on his name at work.”
Javi has always spoken about wanting a big family and commitment, and apparently that didn’t sit right with Briana. “I don’t plan on moving in with him in the summer and for these reasons, he broke up with me,” she revealed. But at the time, she wished Javi the best. “I have no bad things to say about him,” she confessed. “He wanted a wife and home right now and I didn’t see a reason to rush. I wish him the best going forward, and I am sad things panned out this way, but this is where things currently stand.”
As for Javi, he had his own spin on the breakup. “I’m hurting a little right now. I’m upset about it,” Javi revealed to Radar Online at the time. Javi insisted, “[t]he surgery itself wasn’t the issue.” But he added, “Bri is an amazing person with the biggest heart I’ve ever got to hold. Everything she goes through and she’s still selfless and does her best to please others. She’s got a bright future and she’ll make any guy feel special.”
Don’t Provoke Me!

Even though their breakup was peaceful at first, these good vibes just did not last very long. Things got much uglier after Javi Marroquin made a guest appearance on Kailyn Lowry’s podcast Coffee Convos, where he and his ex-wife dished about the situation.
“[Briana and I] will never get along. You allowed her to disrespect me to my face, also on camera, also and in text messages,” Kailyn revealed on the show. “When I said what I had to say in a nice way you defended her and not me.”
Despite Javi’s attempts to defend his girlfriend, Kailyn wasn’t having it. She also pointed out, “Telling the mother of your child to ‘suck her d**k’ and that I’m a ‘dumb b***h’ doesn’t portray her as a good person.”
Apparently Briana tuned in to the podcast, and it goes without saying she had some words of her own.
“Let me spill some tea for u guys,” Briana began a now-deleted Twitter rant. She told fans she had “all rights to get out of character,” adding, “Don’t act like the victim because you were the one who made this issue what it is.”
According to her rant, Kailyn called her at 7 a.m. and told her not to post about her on social media. Then, according to Briana, Kailyn went on to gossip about her and “bad mouth” her to Javi. “That’s when the line gets crossed,” Briana wrote.
“I’ll say [suck] my d**k whenever I want to whoever I want and if you can not handle it….. Don’t provoke me,” she went on.
On her podcast, Kailyn said she would apologize to Briana “when pigs fly.” In her Twitter rant, Briana responded to this, saying, “And you are right, ill never say sorry cause I am not the one who started all this mess.” Briana also accused Kailyn and Javi of using ther “kids as pawns.” She raged: “I am not the common denominator as to why yall fail to co parent so dont ever use my name in that matter again. Don’t sit here and say I am the issue cause I AM NOT.”
She even targeted Javi in her rant. “Dont say u dont know what the future holds to someone but in my msgs saying u wanna marry me,” she said. “In reality u only care bout ur feelings and not anyone elses.” She even wrote, “AND DONT SIT HERE TRYNA PLAY MIND GAMES WHEN THE REAL REASON WHY WE ARE HERE IS BECAUSE OF U..JAVI.”
The only person who escaped Briana’s wrath was her new friend Jenelle Evans. “I’ll be right behind u. #BestBelieve,” Jenelle wrote, and Briana replied, “THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Needless to say, there’s a lot of tension between this bizarre love triangle. Luckily, they had enough distance between them for the majority of Teen Mom 2 filming that all of the fighting took place over Twitter. But that also led to a lot of pent-up aggression that had nowhere to go… until they all got together for the Teen Mom 2 reunion filming, where things got very ugly very fast.
Hair-Pulling

We all saw just how intense emotions get between Kailyn and Briana’s family during the Teen Mom 2 series premiere and following episode. After Kailyn made it very clear that she didn’t want to be in the same room as Briana, Briana’s entire family took a stance against Kailyn. Apparently this animosity has continued on for the months since the New Year’s Eve reunion special, and the Teen Mom 2 series finale reunion got even uglier. In fact, it apparently got violent.
According to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, the girls didn’t waste any time before getting into an ugly fight. “Briana was the last girl called to the stage, and she came out and went right at Kail,” a source told The Ashley. “Briana’s sister Brittany DeJesus was on set too and she jumped in and got in Kail’s face. They started swinging at each other and Kail was motioning to Bri to ‘Bring it on!’”
Another source revealed, “There had been a lot of back-and-forth instigation on both ends before the girls got on the stage. That’s why Bri came out ready to fight.”
“Everyone else that was on stage scattered to get out of the way,” a source said. “Even Dr. Drew ran out of there.”
Unsurprisingly, not everyone was happy about the drama. “Chelsea [Houska] was super upset by it all,” a source informed The Ashley. “She’s pregnant and was worried that she would get caught up in a fight, and that’s exactly what happened.”
The Ashley soon updated with even more information on the brawl. The outlet reports that the stage brawl took place after Kailyn tried to confront Briana backstage while there were no cameras around. A source revealed, “Bri acting like Kail was dumb for wanting to fight.”
When security heard what was going on, they managed to cool things down between the girls. Then the cast returned for an “Unseen Moments” special filming.
“Everyone was sitting on the stage and for some reason they put Brittany behind Kail on the couches,” a source revealed. “They didn’t have any security posted by Brittany. As soon as Briana came out, ready to fight, Brittany stood up and joined in. Kail turned around to get off stage and that’s when Brittany yanked Kail’s hair.”
