Catelynn tried to calm the situation down by saying to Matt, “I know you didn’t mean to cause any trouble. I told her basically I was having a really bad panic attack and I just said out loud I needed something. And I’m like, ‘I thought it was really cool, Matt helped me out.'”
Considering Catelynn’s issues with mental health, taking an unprescribed anti-anxiety pill may make things worse for her.

Matt replied to Catelynn, “What happened was my buddy gave me Xanax in case I needed it on the plane. That was it. OMG Cate, the night I had last night. She thinks, ‘You’re back on drugs.’ I’m not! I said to Amber, ‘If I wanted it, why would it have been in my pocket? It would’ve been in my stomach!'”
Trying to Help

Matt continued about how giving Catelynn Xanax caused chaos, saying, “This is wrong, I was just trying to help my friend. Now there’s rumors, everybody’s talking about it. ‘Matt was f**ked up yesterday, he’s back on drugs.’ She wakes me up this morning, ‘We’re not getting married, you’re a junkie.’”
