Reddit user clevelandcray was quick to break down all the issues. “All I can think about is trying to coordinate holidays and birthdays when there are so many different families involved. It makes my head spin,” they wrote. “If it’s Kail’s time with Lincoln does he miss this child’s birthday? What if it’s Isaac’s’ graduation? Does Lincoln have to choose between this brother’s event and another siblings event? What about Lux? He’s got two brothers who have other half siblings? Someone help me understand how the f*ck everyone feels connected and loved and not torn in too many different directions!”
“Call me old fashioned but I find it so wrong to have babies so early in a relationship,” wrote user mereltjec. “They will undoubtedly break up eventually and that’ll be another kid with parents who aren’t together. I hate that so many of these people have babies like it’s nothing.” User madame_ joked, “Soon it may be worth it for Kail, her baby daddies, their new baby mamas, etc, to start a commune or something and collectively raise all the babies.”
Many were also quick to point out that in an alternate timeline, it could have been Briana’s baby announcement making a splash. “This could have been Bri. He tried making it be Bri. He tried making it be Kail. How does new girl not see that?” wrote spookyookydoo.
And they’re not wrong! Javi and Briana were talking about having a baby together during the New Year’s Eve reunion filming!
Moving Fast

At the time, Javi and Briana’s relationship was still under wraps, so they wouldn’t even hold hands on the couch while they chatted! “What are you excited for in 2018?” Javi asks Briana on the special.
“That I read my fortune over there… and all I saw was a belly, a little boy, another girl with a belly, and [the fortune teller] was like, ‘You’re gonna get pregnant soon!’” Briana reveals. Javi laughs and says “Holy s**t!”
“Stay away, Javi!” Briana says, pretending to hit him. Javi says, “Yeah, maybe we shouldn’t do this!”
Apparently, the fortune teller was adamant about Briana’s future. “She was like, ‘um, yeah, it’s gonna happen soon.’”
As for Javi, he got a different reading. “I went to see her too and I didn’t tell you what she told me. She didn’t say nothin crazy like that. She did just say that true happiness is in my future, like real soon. Somethin’ like that soooo…. I believed it.” (We all know that Javi has always found happiness in a big family!)
“We’ll see what happens in 2018!” Briana said. And only a few months later, they were talking about getting married!
“If we plan on getting married u gonna have to eat some shrimp lmfao,” Briana tweeted at Javi while they were still together.
Fans immediately began tweeting the couple about how quickly things were moving. “LMFAO CHILL. You’ve been dating how long? weeeaaaakkkk,” wrote user @misskayce2496.
User @starrshep_ wrote, “Didn’t y’all get together like an hour ago? Chillllllllllllll.”
Talking marriage so early in a relationship might scare a lot of people away, but it seems that Javi is ready to settle down just as much. A fan tweeted of Javi and Briana: “Haven’t they known each other for a while? I’m glad it happened. They look adorable together, and it’s the first time Bri looks super happy.”
Javi replied, “That’s what people don’t understand. The foundation has been there for years now we just build our empire.”
It’s clear that Javi is determined to build an empire, but it’s not so clear he minds who the empire is built with. In fact, the massive season nine sneak peek reveals confirms that Javi bought an engagement ring for Briana!
Popping the Question

“Briana really loves me and I see that,” Javi Marroquin says in the sneak peek, revealing an engagement ring he seems to have picked out for his girlfriend!
In the next moment, his friend says what everyone’s thinking: “Javi, you’re moving way too quick.”
Briana seems to have been very aware of Javi’s intentions. “If he does ask you to marry him, are you going to say yes?” one of her friends asks. Briana responds, “I don’t know!”
This bombshell has sent quite a ripple through the fanbase, but Briana has recently confirmed that the two never actually got engaged. She informed Radar Online that she would’ve said yes if “things were a little different.” But she did say that “[The ring] was pretty.”
It’s true that Javi and Lauren’s timeline is a bit hard to follow, especially when you throw Briana into the mix.
Now there’s a fourth person to join the mix: Kailyn herself! During the most recent reunion filming, Kailyn and Javi revealed that they hooked up after Javi and Briana split!
