“‘Sober’, just like amber,” wrote reddit user onstantreader55. “I don’t have a problem with responsible drinking, but this isn’t ‘sober’, as she claimed to be.” And many believe that if Catelynn is going to partake, she shouldn’t advertise it.
“Even if it’s ok for her to have a glass of wine, as someone who wants to be the ‘face of mental health & recovery’, she should know better than to post stuff like this,” wrote user mollybrooke95 “It’s not up to us to know if it’s okay or not for HER, that’s her business I guess, but I feel like she posts this stuff either thinking it makes her look cool and trendy or to intentionally stir up drama.”
Others thought Catelynn’s drinking is no big deal. “I won’t begrudge Cate a small glass of wine,” wrote user Liltidbit. User PlasticPaulBunyan wrote, “It’s not even a half glass of wine. It’s prob not the best for her to mix it, but maybe she spoke to her mental health team about it. Who knows.”
