Fighting for custody has become a common, running theme in Teen Mom, and there’s one cast member with the most experience. Jenelle Evans has spent years in and out of courtrooms for various reasons, but her custody battles seem like they will never end.
Now, a shocking development has come out of one of Jenelle’s custody battles — in fact, fans can’t even believe the verdict!

Jenelle Evans has had three children, but since marrying David Eason, she’s been the mother of five! David has two children from previous marriages, making their family even bigger. Even though her stepdaughter Maryssa makes common appearances on the show and Jenelle’s social media, fans don’t see nearly as much of her stepson, Kaden… and there’s a good explanation.
Jenelle may be queen of the custody courtroom, but that would make David Eason king. He’s been fighting for increased custody of his son Kaden for a long stretch of time, ever since his ex accused him of being physically abusive.
David “endangered the life of the child by pushing Plaintiff when she was eight months pregnant and by leaving her in the middle of the road at night when she was seven months pregnant,” his ex claimed in the court papers shared by Radar Online.
Alarming Behavior

“The Defendant is exhibiting erratic and concerning behavior and his life appears to have again deteriorated into chaos,” the court papers read. “The Defendant and Ms. Evans do not appear to be stable themselves or their relationship, nor do they appear to have a peaceful home life.”
“Despite knowing that he is being filmed for a nationally televised reality show, the Defendant has regularly been seen arguing with Ms Evans on the show,” she wrote in the court papers. She’s even concerned that David might abuse Jenelle, writing:
“Based on her prior experience with the Defendant, or observations from the media, and her recent interactions with him, the Plaintiff is concerned that domestic violence is likely to occur between [David] and Ms. Evans, especially in front of the minor child.”
Considering the intensity of these accusations, fans never expected David to get custody of his son so quickly. But all of the suppositions are being turned on their heads!
Still Too Soon

According to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, David was recently granted custody of his son once again! His baby mama had to back down from the battle after she ran out of funds.
“She doesn’t have the money to go to court and fight [David and Jenelle] in court,” an insider informed the outlet. “She cancelled the scheduled mediation and court dates and is going to follow the schedule that was in place before she filed [the emergency custody papers] in February.”
The source revealed that “David will get to have him for overnights which hasn’t happened before.” However, he still won’t have an appearance on the show: “The original rules will stay in place, and Kaden will not be filmed for ‘Teen Mom 2.’”
Apparently, his baby mama and her family are not thrilled with this update. “[Olivia] and her family are worried still,” the source told The Ashley. “Right now it’s all new and a novelty for Jenelle and David to have him there, but it’s too soon to say if things will stay all happy and fun.”
