But some stood up for Leah, including user TimelessMeow, who penned,
“I’m actually shocked by all the hate here for this? She comes from a highly racist area, I’m surprised and pleased that she’s bothering to learn instead of screaming SPEAK ENGLISH at the baby or something. She’s at least considering his heritage. Hell, Kail married Javi and had Lincoln and I don’t think she ever bothered to learn Spanish, did she? It’s hard for an adult to learn a second language, so do I think she’ll become fluent? Maybe not. But she’s willing to try, so why beat her down for it?”
What do you think?
This isn’t the only shocking update Leah has shared. She also recently admitted to her prescription pain addiction!
Leah Messer Finally Confirms Past Prescription Pill Addiction
In the world of Teen Mom, there are countless rumors — it just comes with the territory. And even though there seems to be an endless supply of gossip, leaks, and theories, every now and then, one of them gets it right.
From huge news like Kailyn Lowry’s third pregnancy and Jenelle Evans’s divorce, sometimes rumors of the news spreads well before the fans themselves concern it.
As for Leah Messer the rumor of her addiction has been around even longer. Now, she’s finally confirming it.
During the 2014-2015 season of Teen Mom 2, rumors ran rampant that Leah Messer was hooked on prescription painkillers. In fact, even those in Leah’s life were concerned about her alleged use of pills. Her ex-husband Corey Simms and other members of her family were concerned about some of Leah’s actions that were caught on film. One time, Leah held the recently born Addie while almost falling asleep in the middle of a sentence! Leah also often had such a hard time getting out of bed that she sent the girls to school late, or without lunch.
Drug use and addiction are not something that MTV has historically shied away from. Jenelle has discussed her heroin and weed addictions on camera, and production for Teen Mom OG filming was even shut down when Amber Portwood was put in prison for drug and domestic violence charges. Leah, on the other hand, has never talked about drug use on the show, except to insist that she has never been addicted.
