The lies are getting so bad that they’re affecting Jenelle’s ability to support local businesses she loves. This happened when fake screenshots of a conversation were photoshopped and distributed in the fanbase.
In the photoshopped screencaps, it appears that Jenelle is writing, “Yes, I am getting paid for [promoting the business]. They sent me the sweater so I could promote their company since they are local.”
Jenelle shared the fake screenshot to her Instagram, captioning it, “If you see this it’s a fake screenshot. People are making up lies and sending stuff like this to companies I promote for FREE.”
In our interview, Jenelle told Teen Mom Talk Now what really happened.
“It’s really sad because… I did it for free,” Jenelle said, revealing that the business asked her simply to tag them if she ever wore their clothes.
And because of the lies, many people are now going after the business!
“They’re harassing her [and] DMing her and saying ‘You shouldn’t even have Jenelle shop at your store,’” Jenelle revealed, adding, “Well, this is a store that’s in my mall locally, so you’re going to tell her to make me stop shopping at the mall?”
Luckily, Jenelle isn’t letting the hate get to her. Instead, she’s keeping her eyes on the horizon and focusing on new projects.
Jenelle shared that she’s working hard to keep getting updates out to her fans via YouTube and Instagram, and that she might even have a television appearance coming out in the future.
“I’m doing everything myself, so of course it’s kind of hard,” she added. Luckily, it seems that fans won’t have to wait much longer to see more of Jenelle.
