On May 31, David and Maryssa’s mother, Whitney, came to a deal where David would have permanent custody of their daughter, and she would be allowed visitation with the child that is supervised by her mother.
Whitney will have to submit to hair follicle drug tests in order to get her visits, and neither her nor David is allowed to say bad things about each other or do drugs and drink in excess in front of Maryssa.

David is also trying to get the legal right to see his son Kaden more often. Kaden’s mother had a restraining order against David last year, but she has since relaxed her stance. Jenelle and David could have five kids living in their home one day soon.
