Chelsea Houska and Cole DeBoer are easily one of the most popular Teen Mom couples in the franchise. They have a healthy relationship (especially by Teen Mom standards), have adorable children, and Cole has even discussed the possibility of adopting Chelsea’s daughter Aubree.
But could this whole relationship be built upon a lie?
Of all the places to meet, Chelsea Houska met her future husband at a gas station! As the story goes… The two locked eyes, but both were too shy to say anything to one another. Cole DeBoer then found Chelsea on social media, and their relationship sparked from there.
Although Cole didn’t want to appear on the show at first, when he decided to let the fans meet him, everyone knew that it was a perfect match. Chelsea and Cole had the same values, the same ideals, and the same sense of humor.
Their love story is a little odd, even by Teen Mom standards. But now, some fans are theorizing that it’s a strange story because it’s a lie!
The topic was reignited when MTV posted a picture of Chelsea and Cole back in 2015, writing, “Chelsea and Cole’s love story started at a gas station in 2014. Since then, they’ve adopted a pig, grown their family, started a business, and more.”
But there were numerous fans who just aren’t buying this, including reddit user RedShutUp. “More like the love story they want to tell us. I still don’t believe this gas station life story.”
They went on, “Honestly, if I was filling up my car, saw a guy and he found me on social media after never saying a word to each other, I’d be creeped the f*ck out.”
Most fans seem to think the lovebirds actually met online!
“I agree, only because they are both so shy! Who would ask who? I think they met online or something. I met my fiancé on Tinder, so DGAF!” wrote user GltyPleasureTrshTV.
User scratchmyears wrote, “Like everything else, their story is perfectly curated by Chelsea to control the conversation.” User AlissonLeech agreed, “The gas station story is stupid fake.”
But not everyone thinks that this is fake news.
“Everyone that says their story is fake, what population of areas do you all live in. Because small town mid western, I believe it,” wrote mrow19.
And some just don’t care. User slowdancequeen chimed in,
“Who cares how they met? They met, had babies and got married. The end. I don’t get why people are so jealous of her and her endeavors. Adam was a piece of shit and aubree would be another casualty of teen pregnancy/bad dad if Cole wouldn’t have stepped up.”
What do you think about their love story? Was it faked for TV?
