Catelynn and Tyler's "joke" didn't quite land
Sometimes I just want to tell the Teen Moms to step away from Instagram. It literally never ends up the way that they want it to. Most of the time, it’s really not their fault. There’s always a little something off — a hint of a tummy, a beer in the background, or some other tiny unfortunate detail. It’s always taken wildly out of context, fueling rumors of pregnancy, alcoholism, or whatever else for weeks, despite being completely false.
Then, there’s times like this. You know, times where they totally, 100%, absolutely should have seen the criticism and backlash coming. The times we’re all left wondering what they thought would possibly happen.
That’s how we’re all feeling about Catelynn and Tyler Baltierra’s bizarre fake pregnancy reveal yesterday. And they’re mad at all of us over it!

Nobody seems entirely sure what Teen Mom OG stars Catelynn and Tyler Baltierra expected when they decided to “joke” with the Internet that Catelynn is expecting again. The couple, who began discussing their desire for more children on Twitter just ahead of Catelynn’s “reveal,” decided to up the ante and took to Instagram days after April Fools.
For apparently no reason at all, Catelynn decided to announce a pregnancy on the platform — then take it back just moments later.

The first post included a sonogram with a cartoon baby photoshopped onto it, reading “proud to announce a new baby Baltierra @tylerbaltierraMTV.”
Fans immediately went crazy over the prospect of the Teen Mom family growing once again. In just 22 hours, the post has racked up 267,135 likes and over 8,000 comments. To put that in perspective, a recent photo of Catelynn in Puerto Rico with her OG co-stars only got 96,076 likes and around 500 comments.
That’s how big of a deal this announcement was.
