2020 may be the year of babies for Teen Mom. Before the huge news about Catelynn and Tyler broke, Kailyn Lowry confirmed rumors that she’s having her fourth child!
Kailyn spilled the news in a partnership with a company called Peanut.
"We’re confirming the news, baby #4 is coming soon! 🎉" she shared.
She went on:
"I’m almost 16 weeks pregnant & it’s been a rough few months this time around. I've had nausea, morning sickness, and absolutely no energy. 😭 This week I’m starting to feel a bit better and I'm really hoping it stays this way!🤰🏻@Peanut has been an amazing support for me since I found out I was pregnant again. Going through nausea and morning sickness while trying to keep the news a secret can be quite isolating. There are so many helpful threads on the app from other women who have been through it too. It's always reassuring to know you're not alone. Whether you're already a mom, pregnant, or trying to conceive, I really recommend you join the @peanut community. But, Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra are currently reigning champs when it comes to the longest-running Teen Mom couple around.
They’ve been together since before they had their first daughter, Carly, and have since had two more beautiful little girls together.
But if it’s one thing Cate and Ty are missing from their lives… it’s a boy! They’ve both made it very clear that they want a boy in the family, so it’s no wonder that fans were excited when Catelynn dropped a pregnancy bombshell.
This news comes after months and months of the couple dropping hints that they’d be trying for a boy.
“Yes, we want more children,” Catelynn spilled in an interview with Us Weekly back in 2019. “We really want to try for a boy.”
Soon after this, Cate posted a video of her then-7-month-old daughter Vaeda walking for the first time.
“We have a scooter 😂 so I’m sure we r gonna crawl soon,” Cate captioned the photo. It was the comments section that got fans excited!
“We make such cute babies babe!” Tyler commented on the shot. Cate replied, “Yeah we do!!!! Wanna make another.”
The two have also previously shared that they wanted to “wait until vaeda is a little older, like, six months to a year.”
Well… now Vaeda is almost a year old and Cate is dropping a baby bombshell!
Vaeda’s birthday is right around the corner, which Catelynn celebrated by sharing these adorable newborn shots of her.
“How are you almost 1?!” Cate captured the sweet photo album. Then she dropped a bombshell about having another child.
“My sweet Vaeda,” Cate wrote, adding, “#ineedanother #lordmakeitaboy.”
In the spoilers for the new Teen Mom OG season, we find out what to expect from the couple this season.
"Eleven years after placing their first daughter, Carly, for adoption, Cate and Ty are the happiest they have ever been," the sneak peek reads. "With Cate's mental health under control, and after surviving a trial separation, the couple decide[s] to celebrate with a recommitment ceremony."
The peek goes on, "While parenting their two girls, Nova and Vaeda, Ty is still desperate for a son, so he and Cate look into what it would take to guarantee a boy in their next pregnancy."

Back in June, Catelynn Lowell talked about having a fourth child with Tyler Baltierra in an exclusive interview with Us Weekly.
“We would love to have a boy one day,” she said. The star also revealed that they would probably wait until their youngest is 2 before adding another family member.
Catelynn also said that Tyler and she would not keep having children just for a son. “If we’re meant to just have girls, I guess that’s what we were meant to have! I’m not going to have like six or seven kids…I feel like I’m already going gray with two!”
Either way, it’s no wonder that fans have been waiting for some time to hear a pregnancy announcement!
Right now, Teen Mom fans are exploding at the recent news of Kailyn Lowry’s pregnancy being leaked. There’s so much buzz about it that people almost missed Catelynn’s huge announcement on Instagram!
Like many of the Teen Mom stars, Catelynn often does Q&A’s on her Instagram where she peels back the curtain to her life. This time, one fan wrote in: “Are you planning on having anymore kids soon?”
Catelynn wrote back, “Maybe!”
Fans were quick to sound off about this on reddit. “Tyler needs his boy but will continue to have girls with Catelynn lol,” wrote user Princess88. User emhas29 agreed, “She'll keep getting pregnant til she gives Tyler the boy he so desperately wants.”
User Motherof2cubs wrote, “I think it would be really unfair to Cate's family if she were to have another baby. She's been really open about her PPD and had to go to treatment several times for trauma issues. I think she should think of her daughters and really think if another baby is what she needs and if it's worth the risk of her having severe PPD again and being unable to care for 3 children. I can't believe Tyler would go along with a planned pregnancy.”
