Like mother, like daughter!
Whoever said “like mother, like daughter” might have been on to something. MTV spoke to Teen Mom 2’s Chelsea (Houska) DeBoer earlier this week and found out that little Aubree is getting more and more like her mom each day! We’ve watched Aubree steadily turn into Chelsea’s mini-me over the years, but it sounds like the transformation might be close to complete because apparently she’s picked up one of Chelsea’s most iconic traits…

Chelsea’s Little Quirk

Ever since Chelsea DeBoer (then Houska) first appeared on MTV, viewers noticed that the young mother had a very, uh, unique way of talking. Over the years, her “baby talk” has become a well documented phenomenon in the Teen Mom-verse. Fans constantly slam Chelsea’s willingness to whip out her high-pitched coo at the drop of a hat.

While many, many people out there (myself included) have a type of baby voice, for most people it’s reserved for actual babies and cute animals. The irritation that many fans seem to feel with Chelsea’s is that it is all too often used in every day conversations… with adults. Like her husband. And father. And anyone else around.
It doesn’t really bother me, but I get why people could find it grating.

Let’s be real, fans criticize a lot of things about a lot of the Teen Mom girls. Chelsea’s baby talk is small potatoes compared to some of the other offenses, but still… it has a tendency to rile people up.
Because of this, it might come as sad news to fans everywhere that Chelsea’s 7-year-old daughter Aubree has apparently followed suit.
