Everyone knows that Amber Portwood’s parenting hasn’t always been the most popular. After all, she’s spent a good portion of her daughter’s life behind bars, where it’s pretty hard to be a mother. By now, Amber is surely used to getting hated on by the millions of people who watch Teen Mom every week, so she’s had to grow a thick skin. But it’s an entirely different arena when she’s being attacked by the father of her child.
Gary Shirley did not hold back on Amber, and he did it all on national television! Now he’s begging Amber to forgive her for spilling all of her secrets.

Gary Shirley and Amber Portwood might not have as much in common as they did when they first started dating, but there is one very important overlap: their daughter, Leah Shirley. Gary has made it clear that he respects any opinion Amber makes about her life, but he puts his foot down when he thinks she’s slacking as a parent. But did his recent national tirade against her go too far?
As it turns out, Gary has a huge problem with Amber’s parenting. Namely, he’s not happy that she isn’t doing much of it! He revealed that Amber was absent for the majority of the summer, which is the time that she has increased access to Leah as part of their custody arrangement. But for most of the summer, Amber was a no-show — and that did not make Gary happy.

Now, Gary clearly regrets sharing his piece… at least, while the cameras were rolling. “I know we have overcome a lot since tonights episode was filmed however, I feel horrible For the things I’ve said in tonights episode & probably next weeks as well. I’m sorry & I want to continue to strengthen the co-parenting relationship we have. Plz forgive me.”
He added, “You’re my baby Mama & even if I’m given a reason to be upset with you I should still respect you. I’m not perfect and I never will be. I want your time with baby James to be precious and I don’t wanna bring you down from this joyful time in your life. Again sorry.”
