Kailyn Lowry and Leah Messer Endanger Children?

The Teen Mom cast members have been parenting from a very young age. By now, we’ve got over a decade of footage about their parenting styles, so it’s no surprise that some of their choices have really upset some viewers.

But now that the stars are in their mid to late twenties, you’d think most of their parenting mistakes would be in the past… Of course, we know that isn’t the case.

Even though the Teen Mom stars’ parenting has improved over the years, they’re still no strangers to making mistakes. But could Kailyn’s mistake have put her childrens’ lives at risk!

The Teen Mom 2 reunion has recently aired, and we’re getting the inside scoop on all the drama that went down in front of and behind the camera this season. But an update from Kailyn Lowry and her bff Leah Messer left some fans seriously disturbed.

One of the biggest parts of Kailyn and Leah’s shared storyline was their exotic vacation to Hawaii. This stirred up all kinds of drama, including a legal battle between Kailyn and her first baby daddy Jo as well as a serious dent in hopes that Leah would patch up her relationship with Jeremy Calvert.

But when the reunion came around, Kail and Leah shared a detail that deeply upset some fans, and it all has to do with Kailyn’s baby daddy, Chris Lopez.

“Leah, were you surprised that Chris showed up to Hawaii?” Nessa asked.

“I was!” Leah said. “I was equally surprised!” Kailyn said. “I had no f*cking clue.”

Leah spilled that she had never spent any time with Chris before he came to Hawaii.

That detail made Leah’s next statement more shocking.

“He took the kids to the beach multiple times,” Leah said. “Mind you, five kids by himself!”

Kailyn corroborated this detail. “The kids loved it. Even the girls loved it. They were like, ‘Chris, can you take us to the beach?!’”

Even though Leah and Kailyn both seemed thrilled by this detail, fans thought that it was much more alarming than they acknowledged.

“They let Chris chaperone five young kids at the ocean alone?” wrote user RavenNevermore4 incredulously on reddit. “Why would Leah & Kail think it’s a-ok to let Chris be responsible for 5 kids at the ocean alone? And why didn’t one of them go with Chris to help watch the kids?”

They pointed out another disturbing detail: Chris seemed to be drinking often during the trip. They wrote:

“Chris posted an IG from Hawaii & he was sitting in a car, seemed very inebriated & he was whining & complaining that Kail & Leah were out on the boat they rented & he stayed back because they wouldn’t let him drive. That’s the guy you allowed to watch your kids in the ocean?”
